Johnstown, CO – August 8, 2018 – Arete Surgical Center, a pain management and orthopedic/spine ambulatory surgical facility in Johnstown, CO, announced that it has completed their first procedure with the Mazor Robotics Renaissance system.

"The first Mazor Robotics' spine surgery in an ambulatory surgical center in Northern CO was successfully completed at Arete Surgical Center on July 17, 2018. The patient was very pleased with relief of his disabling pain using this exciting technology" says Jeffrey Donner, M.D.

"We acknowledge Arete Surgery Center for being a pioneer and one of the first ASCs in the nation to offer the benefits and capabilities of the Renaissance. Mazor believes a substantial portion of the spine procedures in the United States would benefit from Renaissance technology in an outpatient setting," noted Christopher Prentice, Chief Commercial Officer of Mazor Robotics. "With the Mazor Core technologies and our demonstrated clinical value and predictability, surgeons are converting complex and variable procedures to simple, minimally invasive, routine procedures."
