Premier Radiology Services has acquired Chicago-based MetisMD, a teleradiology firm with a strong focus on musculoskeletal imaging, in an effort to expand its subspecialty offerings and enhance coverage for its growing network of outpatient healthcare partners.
The Deerfield Beach, Florida-based company says the acquisition will integrate MetisMD’s team of over 30 board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists into its national platform. Premier currently interprets more than 2 million studies annually through a network of over 125 radiologists, with coverage across musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, cardiology, and women’s imaging.
“Welcoming the MetisMD team marks an exciting milestone for Premier,” said Andy Copilevitz, CEO of Premier Radiology Services. “Dr. Goldstein has built an outstanding reputation for clinical excellence and innovation in teleradiology.”

Founded in 2005 by radiologist Dr. Greg Goldstein, MetisMD has emphasized accessibility and patient-focused care in subspecialty radiology. The company has also offered second-opinion services directly to patients, complementing its provider-based business.
“Joining forces with Premier is an exciting next chapter for MetisMD,” Goldstein said. “This partnership expands our reach, strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality interpretations, and creates a collaborative network that benefits both patients and providers.”
Premier has expanded rapidly in recent years, including the 2024 acquisition of NationalRad. The MetisMD deal continues that trend, with an emphasis on maintaining autonomy for radiologists and advancing clinical standards.
Both organizations stated that integration efforts are underway and focused on maintaining continuity for clients and patients. “Our priority is maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and service,” Copilevitz added.
Premier provides 24/7 teleradiology services to outpatient imaging centers, orthopedic groups, academic health systems, and sports medicine programs nationwide.
