AGFA Drystar 5503

October 06, 2021 09:37

Upon starting up our AGFA Drystar 5503, we receive the following error "HC11100". Does anyone have any idea what this means.

Any help is welcome. Thank you!

HC11000 : firewire.connection
* Type Defect
* Meaning Firewire cable not connected or malfunctioning
* Warning MessageCall service
* Reason1 Connection problem
Cure1 Check connection between Crius board and Themis board : if not OK ,
reconnect or replace firewire cable
Part FWcable
* Reason2 Firewire functionality failure on CPU PCB
Cure2 Power off printer and replace
Part Crius
* Reason3 Firewire functionality failure on Themis board
Cure3 Power off printer and replace
Part THEMIS

Also, if you knew anything about AGFA Products you have access to every error explanation via the gui or the printer keypad.
I would recommend contacting your authorized local AGFA Service Agent. Because of your obvious inexperience in the product it would be better to have someone qualified by AGFA to service this printer.

It turns out one of the two belts was worn out and kept slipping out of the assembly. Does anyone have a spare belt for this? There are two belts, one that is thin like paper and another that has grooves to grip a gear. We need the one that is thin like paper.

Just order it direct from agfa or your regional agfa service representative.

Order both belts and follow the tensioning and alignment procedure in the service manual.
You cannot just replace the belt, it must be aligned and properly tensioned.

If you find that the drum belt is the culprit it must be changed.
AGFA recommends replacing both belts as a set.
You must also follow the alignment and tensioning procedure outlined in the service manual.
Part numbers:
2 CM+3097821
FLAT BELT (440X15MM) FOR DRUM (ROHS)
3 CM+3097831
TOOTHED BELT FOR DRUM (ROHS)

Let me know if you require the service manual and I'll get you a link to my share to download.

I can also get you the service gui login information.
If you need further assistance just reach out.
