I am about to buy GE logiq e 2010 with a software version R5.2.2 uploaded. I am planning to use it for Abdominal, OBGYN, small part,Vascular and ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY.My question is : Do I need to upgrade the SW,the HW or inserting the option key is enough..how do I know if the machine is upgradable before I purchase it?

Hi there, usually the software is fully loaded at the manufacture.
Some software options are closed.
But, before purchase,
1) check a small compartment on the bottom (turn the scanner upside-down and see). Unscrew 4 screws, take a small cover off, lift it. You will see a small CW board. If this board is absent (out), you will need to buy it with an option key string.
The 2nd, you may check in the application SW. Turn the scanner ON, press Utility - Admin - System Options. The CW must be active (Permanent).
You can buy CW-option for your Logiq E serial number.

Hi, I follow your instructions, I didn't have the CWD Board, but I have the option Key to activate the mode with the F6 key and in the module of admin I can modify the values for CDW, the question is, if I put the board I need some licenses or software for the full function of the board? Or only I need physically install the board?
