We have an mp70 unit running software revision D.00.58 and desperately looking to update this unit. Our support warranty has run out and the company wants $5k to update this unit. We do not have a support tool license and I am praying that someone on these forums can assist us in updating this unit. We need to be able to access this unit via XDS but with the current software on it we can't. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

There's no easy answer. Either someone has to go to a Philips class that allows you Biomed access to Support Tool ($2K or more), or spend the $5K and send it in. I'm not even sure that you can update the software to include the XDS with Support Tool because it may be a Purchased Option. That might explain why they want $5K to update it. But Support Tool connects to the Philips "cloud", so as soon as they connect it, they'll know someone's connected to it. And if that person isn't authorized (i.e., an employee), Philips could and possibly would take that person's access away.

It stinks, but I don't know of any other way.
