Sytec SRI CT Scanner

Have a Sytec SRI CT Scanner. The gantry just keeps resetting as if someone hits the reset button on the TGP board. It's intermittent but when it starts there is absolutely no scanning and the system does not generate any errors. It will reset sometimes 10-15 times back to back. Anyone ever have this problem? Have replaced the TGP board but problem still exists. Help would be greatly appreciated.

It is just the gantry, not the console. Thank you for your feedback.

Did you check the servo amp? some times it detects an overcurrent condition in the axial motor and stops or reset the gantry. Let me know what you find.

When I check everything, all is fine. I can sit there for an hour or two with no problems then all of the sudden it starts resetting. Still no errors and when I check voltages after it's reset everything is within spec. I did notice that the PDU has a fan not working so I've ordered another fan. Is it possible that a fan not working on the PDU (it's the small PDU, don't have the number on me)could be causing this intermittent problem?

if the behavior is like press Reset button, you could track reset line of uP on the board, check noise on Vcc and check grounding.
it may be associated with rotation movement, put manual Sw on, and check while you change speed movements, or whie brake is actuated.

It will do it just while the system is just sitting idle. It also does it when scanning but will also do it when the system just sitting idle.

Sounds like a power supply. Can you watch the supply voltage when it's happening?

ok, is power supply or connectors to board, because if you already exchanged TGP, then the problem is in the machine.
this kind of uP has a "Brown Out" circuit, when is activated behavior is the same like pushing reset button.
