Vanguard Breast MR
Auxiliary Table
Sentinelle Medical was honored recently by the Canadian government for its stress-free Vanguard Breast MR Auxiliary Table. The Toronto-based firm was recognized as Best Young Innovator of the Year by the Ontario Ministry of Research & Innovation for an examination table featuring an eight-channel coil array that allows for MRI and other percutaneous biopsies of the breast to be done while the patient rests comfortably. Created to work in tandem with the GE Healthcare Signa HDx 1.5 MRI system, the table is configured with an open design that allows easy accessibility to all quadrants of the breast.
Sentinelle's unique Variable Coil Geometry (R) allows the coils to be custom fitted for every patient, with the ability to move medially and laterally, among other movements, that improve image quality and create higher resolution images.
Increased padding in common pressure areas such as the diaphragm and sternum and increased patient support within the table itself allow patients to lie in comfort with arms at their sides, a position that not only makes the patient more relaxed but one that cuts down on movement during the exam.

The Sentinelle Vanguard Breast AR Auxiliary Table is a comprehensive system featuring storage drawers, tray tables, biopsy grids, padding, safety rails, movable sternum supports, and integrated lighting designed to work together to improve work flow. It is the only dedicated, detachable table design available for breast MR.
The latter feature allows patient prep both before and after imaging to be performed outside the MR suite, resulting in significant savings in per-patient magnet use time.
