Software load for Logiqbook Ultrasound
March 04, 2018 10:17
Hello,
I purchased software from a member of this forum to reinstall onto my Logiqbook U/S machine as it was locking on startup with "Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing /system32/ntoskrnl.exe. Please re-install a copy of the above file.
So I was sent a ghosted copy of a working platform from this member. The problem is that when I ghosted it to the hard drive, it copied perfectly, but still will not run, as it looks like there is no OS to run it ie. Windows 2000.
So I tried loading windows 2000 onto the machine, but it will not boot from the external CD drive, even though I have set it to do that from the bios menu.
I think what I need to do is copy windows 2000 onto the drive by cloning it on, and then loading the program, but that would require the operating disk or an .exe to do that.
Any suggestions, given that I only have the ghosted file?
thanks!

Hi Sean,
I believe what happened was that you only got the application DVD without the OS, you would need both in order to reload the software.

You need the 2 disk set of the original installation discs. There is one disk that installs the operating system and the other installs the application software. Do you know what version of software that runs on your system?

I believe it is version 2.03. I remember when I first got the machine that an update came in the mail about 2 yrs later, and that was the only update. The machine is a Logiq book model# 2349933.

System usually uses SYMANTEC to load the Windows 2000.
If you have any ghosting errors, first check on your hard drive.
Check the jumper settings on the CD Drive.....
I have a copy of the GE OS software for Logiq......

Hi Craig, I ghosted the image to 2 different hard drives, and tried them both. I get the same error with both, It goes through the boot process, then the ram check, then âoperating system not foundâ The CD drive is external, so there are no jumper settings for it. It is the Predator external cd drive that came with it.
