5These Casmed Foresight Elite Absolute Tissue Oximeters w/ Sensors are in excellent cosmetic and tested working condition. Each unit will include the monitor, preamp adapter cord & clip kit, (5) large sensors (new in-date) and rolling stand. These units were recently removed from a working facility and have scheduled maintenance labels showing good till 2/2024. Both units power on and the screens illuminate. I can use the touch screen to navigate use of the device. Once the sensors are connected and placed onto tissue, the StO2 values are displayed on screen in real time.The monitors are currently stand mounted but can easily be removed and used as countertop units. The stands are nice and include a storage basket, handle and 5 rolling swivel casters with locking mechanisms. The FORE-SIGHT ELITE Absolute Tissue Oximeter is a non-invasive device that measures absolute tissue oxygen saturation. It operates on the principle that blood contains hemoglobin in two primary forms oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO2 ) and de-oxygenated hemoglobin (Hb) which absorb near-infrared light in different, measurable ways. Tissue oxygen saturation (StO2 ) levels are determined by the ratio of oxygenated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin at the microvascular level (arterioles, venules, and capillaries) in the region to which the Sensor is applied: The FORE-SIGHT ELITE incorporates CAS Medical Systems exclusive technology to project harmless near-infrared light (in five precise wavelengths) through the scalp and skull and into the brain via a disposable Sensor on the patients forehead. Reflected light is captured by detectors positioned on the Sensor for optimal signal collection. After analyzing the reflected light, the FORE-SIGHT ELITE displays the cerebral tissue oxygen saturation level on the Oximeter as an absolute number and provides a graphical representation of historical values. A pulse oximeter only reflects arterial blood oxygen saturation (SpO2 ) and requires pulsations to operate; whereas, FORE-SIGHT ELITE measures even in pulseless conditions and displays the balance of oxygen supply & demand in a target tissue (StO2 ), e.g., brain, abdomen, limb muscle. Thus, FORE-SIGHT ELITE StO2 values indicate overall tissue oxygenation state, which provides direct feedback for guiding care interventions.
Condition & Testing
Thesedevices arein excellent cosmetic and tested working condition. The devices poweron and the screens illuminate. The preamp adapter and clip kit connect to the monitor securley. Once the sensors are connected and placed onto tissue the StO2 values are transmitted to the monitor and displayed in real time in both numbers and graphs. The tamper tags are intact showing the cases have never been opened.
Each unit is in great shape with only minor cosmetic signs of previous use. One of the devices shows a few small white marks on the screen which do not affect its ability to be used or vlarity of the display. The monitors are stand mounted but can easliy be removed from the stands and used as countertop units. The stands are very nice with only minor cosmetic signs of use but no damage. All 5 large rolling swivel casters are working and allow for easy transport. Overall these are excellent machines and we guarantee they will not be DOA.
