This is a Haemoscope TEG 5000 thrombelastograph coagulation hemostasis analyzer. It is a bench top point of care blood diagnostic device. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with no sign of wear. Passes the self test at startup and looks ready to use. Comes with the TEG 5000 Analyzer, Software disk w/ password, Haemoscope 100AD Interface box and original Power supply. The DVD-R disk contains the analytical software, operator video and a resource disc. (see pic of files on disk) This software is a copy from an original disc I had saved and has been tested to successfully install on a computer. I will provide the working software password to the next owner. Someone is going to get a great deal here!!! This listing includes the TEG 5000 Analyzer, AD100 Interface Module, 10' Serial Cable that connects the AD100 to the analyzer, Software on DVD-R and Original Power Supply.

Haemoscope's Thrombelastograph (TEG) Coagulation Analyzer monitors the thrombodynamic properties of blood as it is induced to clot under a low-shear environment resembling sluggish venous flow. Using a sample of whole blood, the benchtop system documents the interaction of platelets with protein coagulation cascade from the time of loading until initial fibrin formation, clot rate strengthening, and fi- brin-platelet binding via GpIIb-IIIa, to eventual clot lysis. It determines whether the patient has normal, hypo-, or hypercoagulable hemostasis by the time, rate, strength, and stability of the formed clot, and provides an indication of treatment necessary to normalize it. The system, which uses disposable cups and pins, can process eight samples simultaneously on four analyzers with two independent channels each. Temperature is regulated at 37 [+ or -] 0.5 degrees Celsius.


Condition & Testing

Excellent cosmetic condition with minimal sign of normal wear and no damage. Powers on and passes the self test at startup and looks ready to use. After warmup both temperature displays read 37.0Cdegrees Celsius. Both bottons light up and both button covers are good. The disk is a burned copy from an original disc I had saved. The software has been tested to successfully install on a computer and work with the password. No other testing has been done. I have sold several of these over the years and this one behaves exactly the same as others I have sold that were working. There is no indication it isn't working. The serial cable is without any breaks or kinks in the length of the wire.
