Once on the C-Trak Galaxy program opens automatically. The touchscreen functions as intended.During testing we placed the probe into the source holder and observed the device giving readings. However, when attempting to calibrate, the source holder material has decayed past the point of use for calibration. Manufacturer's Description

The C-TrakGalaxy system has been designed to detect and quantify the nuclear radiation from gamma emitting isotopes ranging in energy emissions between 27-600 keV. A clear display of numeric quantities and an audible signal convey an increase or decrease in radiation detection allowing the surgeon to localize radiolabeled tissue for excision.

The system is comprised of the C-TrakGalaxy touchscreen analyzer and one or more of the OmniProbefamily of probes. The OmniProbeand OmniProbe-EL are capable of detecting gamma ray energies up to 364 keV. The OmniProbe-PET is capable of detecting gamma ray energies up to 600 keV. The analyzer is designed for operation with Care Wise designed gamma probes.

C-Trakprobes have special collimation and shielding that allow highly directional detection of radiation from sites of interest, along with greatly reduced detection of background radiation.

The analyzer is designed to operate the probe, display the data from the detected radiation, and display and control the systems operating parameters. The result is optimum performance in measuring gamma radiation from the photopeak of isotopes such as Technetium-99m (Tc99m), Indium-111 (In111), Iodine-125 (I125) and Fluorine-18 (18F-FDG) while minimizing detection of Compton-scattered radiation.


Condition & Testing

This device is in excellent cosmetic and tested working condition. The device powers on and goes to a startup screen where you are prompted to press the F1 key. Once the key is pressed the computer completes starts up normally. Once start up is complete the computer opens the C-Trak program automatically. The touchscreen function of the computer is working as intended and I can use it to navigate use of the device. For the purpose of testing we placed the probe into the source holderand observed the device givingreadings both visual and audible. When attempting to perform a calibration, the device indicates that the source material has decayed past the point of use for calibration, but still indicates enough to show the device is working.

The probe and cord arevery nice and showno damage. The Computer, Keyboard and Mouse are also in goodundamaged condition. The touchscreen is responding properly. The rolling cart stand is nice. All 4 rolling swivel casters with wheel locks are in good working condition. The cart has a lower storage basket,1 shelf, 1 slide out storage traywith foam cutoutsfor the probes and accessories, and a top surface with monitor mount. Overall this is a very nice system, ready to use and we guarantee it will not be DOA.
