When I power this microtome on the "RETRACT" light flashes and the screen displays 2 rows of squares just for a second and then goes blank after that. I can hear it running but I don't get any response when I push the buttons. The handwheel turns smoothly and moves the specimen holder up and down. I haven't been able to test it beyond this. The outer skin, on the cable that attaches to the operating panel, is split but the inner cable is fine. I am offering this AS-IS.
