The Stryker 1588 AIM is a high-definition surgical camera system. It's designed to provide enhanced visualization during minimally invasive procedures. It's a connected platform that integrates the camera, light source and data management. This helps surgeons better distinguish critical anatomy.
The AIM designation refers to five specific imaging modes. They're designed to overcome common surgical visualization challenges:
Endoscopic Near Infrared Visualization: Used with Indocyanine Green dye to visualize blood flow, tissue perfusion and biliary ducts in real-time.
InfraRed Illumination System: Utilizes infrared-lighted fibers to trans-illuminate and identify ureters. This reduces the risk of accidental damage during surgery.
Clarity: A real-time video enhancement tool that improves contrast and detail. This helps surgeons see through smoke, fog, or murky fluids.
Dynamic Range Enhancement: Brightens dark or posterior areas of the surgical field by up to 150% without overexposing the foreground.
Desaturation: Allows the surgeon to reduce the intensity of red tones in the image. This helps in bloody environments to better differentiate between types of tissue.
