Originally conceptualized to optimize exposure during cardiac surgery, it functions as a comprehensive 3-in-1 system that handles sternal retraction, internal mammary artery (IMA) dissection, and valve surgery.

Dual Movement Blades: The system includes four self-retaining sternal blades that move independently along a horizontal plane.
Rotating Side Arms: Both side arms can rotate and securely lock at 30° or 60° along their axis. This provides the upward elevation required specifically for harvesting the left or right internal thoracic/mammary artery.
Physical Dimensions: Authentic models, such as the Pilling 341150, feature a 12-inch (30.5 cm) arm length, an 8-inch to 8-1/8-inch spread, and 25 mm wide by 35 mm deep blades.
