The Alaris 8015 Point of Care Unit (PCU) is the central "brain" or controller of the modular BD Alaris Infusion System. It does not directly pump fluid itself; instead, it provides a unified user interface and power source for up to four detachable modules, such as large-volume pump modules, syringe modules, PCA (patient-controlled analgesia) modules, and respiratory monitoring modules.
