A system for vacuum preservation and transport of fresh tissue samples to the histopathology laboratory, without the need to use formalin in the operating room.
The device is designed to pack tissue material into special vacuum bags without the use of formalin in the operating room.
The solution allows for the safe transfer of samples from the operating theater to the histopathology laboratory, reducing staff exposure to formalin fumes and the risk of spilling the fixative
Users can add important case information by writing directly on the printed note area, placing it in the resealable document bag, or using the optional label
The system allows samples to be preserved in a near-fresh state, limits tissue drying and allows the fixation process to begin only under controlled laboratory conditions.
TissueSAFE technology supports documentation of sample transport time and temperature and enables material storage/transport in a cooled environment, typically in the range of 2–4°C
An optional RFID smart card is placed in the transfer box to continuously monitor and document tissue temperature from the operating room to the histology lab (card not included)

It has a drawer with compartments and a cabinet with three shelves. The device requires special vacuum sealing bags, which are not included.
