For Sale STERIS HAUSTED 42900 Video Imaging Chair (VIC) High Low Swivel Stretcher Chair with 14 inch removable back Section

This is a US made chair in good functional used condition. It has minor scratches and other signs of use consistent with its use. The brakes work and the wheels have good treads and bearings. The chair releases and swivels as it appears it should and locks in the travel positions. The high low hydraulics function as they should and the cylinder does not fade. The rails move up and down as they should and the removable modular 14 inch back section comes off cleanly and easily. The back and leg sections can be adjusted to various angles using what I find to be awkward controls. It appears the two sections are not linked as they can be. They are designed to operate independently, but the normal position has them work in tandem using one control on the back. I will attempt to reset these controls These functions are addressed in the manual available freely at the Hausted website, and appear to be part of the design. The level indicator rod shows signs of having been bent. It is now straight and sufficient for judging the angle or the chair back. The red rubber brake pedal cap is missing from one of the control levers. Two removable push pushbars and an extendable IV pole that this model came with are included and undamaged. Three positioning straps will Velcro fastening are included and appear original. The upholstery appears undamaged and original except for one small "c" cut in the side of the removable foot cushion which has been clear taped to prevent spread and contamination. This chair has an O2 cylinder holder mounted on one side which is not listed as a stock option or standard accessory.

Shipping of this item will be in a crate or on a pallet delivered by commercial truck. The complete backrest of the chair will be unbolted and packed on one side of the chair to minimize cargo volume charges. Costs quoted here are for delivery to loading dock in medium and major centers within the Lower 48 US states and southern Canada. If a loading dock is not available for off-loading delivery to a freight terminal or via truck with a power tailgate is possible, but additional charges may be involved. Import US taxes on a US made item returning to its country of origin unaltered should not be applicable. HOWEVER, these days US Customs are not as predictable as they have been for the last 30 or 40 years and they are certainly not easy to get a definitive answer from. This item has been priced in an range that has for several decades been considered one that does not require a formal customs entry ( Low value ... under Sec 321 US Customs regulations). If these longstanding rules are applied, a US buyer will not be charged duties / tariffs or state taxes, or Canadian taxes of any kind.
