More weight for healthcare provider ratings
Our users asked us to change the DOTmed 5-Star Rating System and give more weight to ratings from healthcare providers because, as end-users, they are in the best position to evaluate a dealer's products and services. Therefore, if you work for a healthcare facility, your ratings now have twice the value of dealer-to-dealer ratings. Please rate every company you do business with.

Product was listed on quote and on DOT Med that it was in working order. Not only does it not work but someone had opened the machine and taped wires to make the machine appear to be in working order. Will not do business with this company again.
Daniel Giesberg responded: In our business, we sell equipment that we own ourselves, and we broker equipment for other sellers. In this case, the equipment was owned by another seller, which was fully disclosed in our quotation. We are very careful to state in our correspondense with all potential buyers that as brokers we are only communicating information given to us by the equipment owners. We do not physically inspect the equpment we broker. In every instance, we invite potential buyers to inspect the equipment themselves. We can and do provide images of the equipment, both prior to packaging and after packaging. We insure all shipments.
In the rare case where there is a problem, we attempt to work with both the seller and buyer to resolve the issue. In this case, the seller, who employed trained service people who were experts in this equipment, stated that they had inspected and tested the unit before the shipment, and had found it to be fully functional. The buyer did not inform us of the issues they were having until several weeks after receiving the unit. The seller felt strongly that the issues identified could have easily been caused by the buyer at the time of installation by the buyer. Since the seller had clearly sold the equipment “AS IS,” and this was stated in our quotation, there was nothing they were willing to do for the buyer.
At the same time as the above sale, we sold a Quantum X-Ray room owned by the same seller to another purchaser. The buyer of that equipment told us that they had never had a smoother sale or a better piece of equipment. Both items came out of the same facility.
Since we fully disclose our position in each sale, have a very clear sales contract, are transparent in all transactions and work hard to resolve any issues, we feel that this buyer’s comments are not justified. We do understand their disappointment but do not believe they are right to place blame on us for the risks associated with used equipment transactions.
