I have a 3m 969 laser camera that gives me a 601 error. I have troubleshooted this problem and found that there is no signal caming back from one of the laser sensors in the optics assembly. The problem that you describe correspond to optics module failure and the solution for that, is to exchange it for a new one. We have an used
