Does anyone have any experience with networking
this ultrasound unit? It has a ethernet port on
the back panel. I'm needing to network it to a
MedWeb Cube Server. Any information is greatly appreciated.
The Acuson 128XP/10 is not DICOM ready, and does not have any kind of ethernet port. (The port you have is not an ethernet port)
For you to use the MedWeb DICOM Cube, you will need an external computer with a image graber (you will use a video output on it) and a software that can capture the image and send it as a DICOM file to the Cube.
You will need to find out if the unit has DICOM store capabilities or maybe it may only have DICOM print - DICOM print will also use an ethernet port for printing - if it has DICOM store you them need to have service turn it on thru the service program

System Configuration --> AEGIS Config #601.
However, I'm told by Siemens that an external
DICOM interface box (computer) is required. Any
additional information is greatly appreciated.
128/XPs are not DICOM ready. The port you see is useless. you need a QV150 DICOM adaption, that is what Acuson came up with.Need any help finding a unit let me know. Regards, Craig
