We shipped a perfect working condition Acuson Aspen from our office to a hospital and it does not boot-up after delivery. The machine starts tp boot up but then gives the message: BOOT-UP ERRORS: UIC 0002 / SCP 002 PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
If Duane's suggestion doesn't do it, check the cables from the UIC to the ZAP. The ZAP is inside the Disk Drive Enclosure. The UIC is the User Interface Controller Board. Next I would check the cable from the UIC to the IOB (in the scan converter).
If the problems persist, check under the keyboard / User Interface Board for any shorts....
And answering Alex question: If the transducer was working before, due to a problem on a battery you lost the encryption strings - if this is the case, contact Siemens and ask them a copy of it...
If it is a new transducer it may not be enabled...

I would recomend that you turn the unit off and reseat all of the boards. Chances are something got jostled. Good luck
