You should be able to run 9.51 or anything lower.

when I replace a board with REV XD (for example),should I replace it with a higher or lower REV?
also,if I replaced a board, will I need the service password?or the equipment will work normally?

You want to try to replace the board with the same REV or higher. Sometimes a lower REV board wil also work but not always. You have to have the service code if you are going to take the cover off the E-BOX. If you don't have Third Party Service enabled or have the service code, DO NOT open the E-BOX cover. The system will become non-operational and all you will get is a error banner saying to contact Acuson service.

Reload software using the installation MO disk.

If you have the system backed up onto a MO disk, you could reload software. If the system isn't backed up, then you would need to get the Acuson service code of the day to make it operational again.
