I have an Acuson Sequoia Ultrasound Machine which is not functing due to a 'System 30' error on boot up. I've tried changing the power supply and PZI board, which have failed to fix the problem. Can someone help me, or refer me to a repair expert for this system??? Thanks, Don
System 30 is the SCSI disk spin-up test. This can be caused by a HD failure, corruption of the software, a problem with the RDP to SCSI circuitry or cabling, or a HD fuse failure.
Do you have your software installer MO disk from Siemens? Do you know what software version is installed in the system?
I can recommend a service company, depending on your geographical location. Email me at jimc@4sonora.com
I have another problem.... this is with the PC inside the Secuoia 512.... when the PC boots...it start and boot well.... but there is no connection with the rest of the machine.. the network card does not register link activity... but if i connect the PC out side of the Secuoia 512 the network card works fine..... can you tell me why is that?
Rodrigo,
There have been a couple of different versions of PCs put into Sequoia systems. The most common is called Perspective, and it can be used for 3D, Spatial Compounding and/or SieScape modes. Perspective computers are connected to the system via a router. Since you are not getting any errors, it may be that your system does not have those features and the computer is not actually interacting with the Sequoia.
Older PCs that were put into Sequoia systems included one from TomTec that was for "flock of birds" 3D. Very few of those ever shipped or were put into clinical use.
Hi, I have a C256 that stays at the initial boot screen. When I unplug HDD, it boots and gives this same System 30 error. Is it the hard drive? Where can I get the service manual?

Error 002 is a failure of the serial adapter. The system should boot up. The most likely cause of a 002 error is the RDP board.
