My CR30-X fails to initialize, showing error 14857. According to the service portal, the Parameter set of the PMI board is corrupt and need to be reset. How do I reset this Parameter set ?

Check all cables on PMI board and if you want to reset from button you need to open the steel cover reset stwich then you and see reset touch button... OR if not problem solve then Install again software ....

I have never done this. But, here are my notes.
1.CR should show up under device manager on computer if not the PMI in CR, is failure. Fire-wire plugs directly into PMI.
2.Push firmware from computer to PMI – tab before modification s/w upload
3.Upload new firmware: Modification - S/W upload
A.Open task manager: Ctrl-Alt-Delete
End ASAPService.exe
ErrorViewer.exe
B.Control Panel
Add remove program
Remove CR 30-X / next / finish
C.Load new
D.Reboot
E.It will find new device
F.Reboot
G.Open service client / modification / SW upload / select all. Upload selected nodes.

Thank you very much. This actually worked, but I was able to install an old version of CR30-x setup; CRE_1509. The problem now is it refused to complete the test scan. It is show Error 10571; test scan failed. What can I do? I have checked the hardware( calibration board) and even did cleaning but same error comes up. Pls help, may be if I get higher version like CRE_1702 or soo. What do you think?

1) Under Analysis and repair “You can look up error codes”. Note: Motors should turn with ease.
2) Endurance run cycle will test cassette plate removal and insertion x# of times.
