I have and amx4 portable x-ray machine that is in need of repairs. I am currently dealing with a company called Miatrin who is supposed to be the agent for GE Equipment in Latin America. They indicated that the charger board and batteries needed to be replaced so I allowed them to do this however even as we have done this the machine is still not working. It appears to me that they are not as capable as they (the engineers from Miatrin) would have me think. I am very technically proficient myself and would like to discuss the details of the problems with my AMX 4 machine with another engineer of your recommendation. This Hospital is a non-profit adventist organization and has been without a portable x-ray unit for six weeks and have had to deal with the apparent poor support available here in Trinidad and Tobago.
I would be incredibly grateful for any advice or remote support that you can provide or even direct me toward.

so here are the details...
charger board and batteries replaced.
the engineer said that the unit needed to be left to charge up (no calibration done) they returned after the weekend and the voltage went down from 114.8V to 111.6V. I am thinking that the charger board needs to be calibrated before it will charge the batteries. Am I correct?
They had insisted on replacing the batteries after they replaced the charger board and tried to calibrate the machine but the machine shut off at the point of calibration where you are told to remove the charger cord.
I am currently awaiting the arrival of the engineers again for them to try to do..well something...

it will not charge until all calibrations have been carried, or unless they bypass and try to charge through the service menu! Exactly what was the original problem for them to change the charger board and all batteries?
