While performing KVP cal on an AMX4, The process continues up thru and including the 120KVP. The system does not ask for a value, says to remove the jumper, then displays "KVP Cal Error 1" after MAS UP is pressed. While vieing the waveform during cal, the initial wave form starts out low and ramps up to the required value at the 52, 64, and 85 settings. At the 120 setting, it starts off low, ramps up at about a 45 degree angle, but never actually reaches 120 before the system thinks cal is finished. The error then appears after jumper is romoved and MAS UP is pressed. The Ram chips and FIL Control board and HT cables have been replaced. Any ideas?
Check battery voltage, no more that 2 volts drop during prep cycle. If more than 2 volt drop the battery set is shot. After you get the system going no more than 20 volt drop at 100 KV,200 MAS.
Check the spark gap at the high voltage transformer with the lights off. Check for flashing light.

Double check the KVP tap relays. they have a small spring on a post that is held by a "c-clip" that may have broken. It will pull in but the contacts don't. Spring from a pen can be used and epxoy to hold.

Try to cal just using your KVP analyzer (insure it has been calibrated) - ditch the scope.
