Hi,
We have a HDI3000 machine which has just started coming up with the error message:
SSPI MOP reported HW error
2303-23D0-0801-5B307832
SSP Hardware test failure
Can anyone tell me what this means? It started coming up a few times but would go away if the machine was switched off and on again but now it comes up every time.
Thank you!
Most likely the SSP (Single Space Processor) board is causingt the issue, I would first attempt to reseat the boards, check the SSP board ensuring all socketed chips are seated securely and reboot. If you still get the error I would replace the SSP
There is a serial port on the rear of the system, plug in a serial cable and monitor it with a laptop using hyper terminal. The HDI 3000, 3500, and 5000 all push out serial data of the boot process and will give you access to the VX works software. Watch the boot up process and the failure will most likely show up in the serial output.
Hyper terminal settings are below
Serial Data Transfer
• 9600 baud
• 8 data bits
• No parity
• One stop-bit
• Xon-Xoff protocol

The SSP board (Sample space processor) is failing it's self-test.
Replace it.
