I'm having a booting issue on the GOC4 console for the LightSpeed, so everything seems booting normal until the HP host doesn't connect properly with the darc, and waits for it to boot up completely, but even if the darc booted properly, the host doesn't see it sometimes.
I've tried to verify the connection:
- ping darc (succesful)
- rsh darc (succesful)
- ping ig1 (succesful) from darc
- ping localhost (succesful) from darc
- ssh darc (succesful)
- service cliservice start
telnet localhost 623
Server: darc
Username:
Password:
Login succesful
- dpccli/ reset
ok
- dpccli/ console (at this point the DARC resets again and when its done, there is a shell window with the following script)
.........
/usr/g/bin/gre-verify-darc: built May 11 2007
ping localhost: waiting...done
ping darc: waiting..........done
ping darc echo: waiting...ssh: connect to host darc port 22: Connection refused....done
darc:/usr/g/config/scanhardware.cfg: rsyncing...done
darc:/dev/shm/gre-raid-lock/gre-raid-exit: waiting...done
darc:/usr/g/service/log/gre-raid-exit-status.log: rsyncing...done
darc:/dev/shm/gre-raid-lock/gre-raid-logmsg: removing...done
darc:/dev/shm/gre-raid-degrated:checking...not found (RAID is not degraded)
darc:/proc/mounts:/raw_data...bash: line 1: 8197 Terminado
attention -nb -ontop -rn GreVerifyDarcWaitingForStarup 2/dev/null /dev/null mount is unknown
gre-raid: failure - not enough hard drives found (exit status: 16)
/usr/g/bin/gre-veryfy-darc: failure -scan disk array is non-recoverable (exit status: 22)
PS. The DARC by itself runs good until See you on the darc side of the moon.
gre-raid: failure - not enough hard drives found (exit status: 16)
If I was you I reload the software on the DARC, you also might have on the drives on the DARC bad, see the warning above
Firt of all you need to reload software to the DARC2. If after that the same problem happens, It seems that one of you have a hard problem with your RAID HDD, replace IT.
sounds like at least 2 of the raid hard drives has failed. The raid drives should indicate failure with a red LED vs. a green LED, indicating an okay status.
The easiest way to check out the two drives is apps shutdown reconfig check the regeneration data base and read the scrolling scripts. You will see raid success or failure.

Thanks I did this but the commands didn't work, so I tried reformatting the database, and it failed. So I will be replacing both disks I've got.
