BV Pulsera Automatic mode problem.

April 23, 2012 08:45

Hello,
I have a BV Pulsera with 12" II, when trying to use in flouro mode, auto, the kV ramps up all the way to max kV. I guess is a kV feed back problem, I would appreciate any help on this topic.

Yes I do have image on the monitor. I works just fine in manual mode. It's in automatic mode when trying to get a fluro image, the kV alwas starts at 40kV (no matter what kind of study is selected) the kV reading starts to ramp up until it gets to 110kV, resulting in an image that goes from black, to white in a couple of seconds, it won't stop at the correct kV as expexted.

If you can dial 75KV and see the philips phantom, but on auto it overdrives, you have a problem on your dose control. Most likely the camara. Check video in manual and auto on the camara at 3-MP12(video Gain) and 3-MP2(VIB) and finally on 3-MP3(Video).

Hi, is probably that the problem is the WK3, check this:

Execute the steps below to check the dose rate control signal (DRFLDFPA).

1. Set switch WK4:S1-1 to position OFF (clean circle OFF)
2. Set jumper WK3:W1 to position 1-2 (test generator selected)
3. Set jumper WK3:W2 to position B (test generator in block mode)
4. Adjust WK3:MP1 (Video in) with respect to WK6:MP1 to 250 mV with potentiometer WK3:P1. The dose rate signal DRFLDFPA at WK3:MP13 must be 1.5 V ±100 mV.
5. Remove jumper WK3:W1 (no video). The voltage must be 0 V ±200 mV.
6. Set jumper WK3:W1 to position 2-3 (VICA selected)
7. Set switch WK4:S1-1 to position ON (clean circle external controlled
