Contour Boot Problem

I got troubles with a Starup GE MRI Contour 3, (0.5T),
problem started loosen DATE/TIME
now it does not star up at all
it lost Ethernet address and host ID

Your NVRAM in the CPU inside the console is already bad. You have to replace it and restore the original HostId on the new NVRAM. I wish you already did a backup of the original HostId, otherwise you are in a little big problem. You had to replace the NVRAM when the date and time started to show you problems. Replace the NVRAM and restore the HostId and the MR will boot again. Regards

NVRAM location on motherboard: U0205
NVRAM type: M48T59Y
first change the old NVRAM for one new
use the mkp command at the (ok) pront for change or restore you original HostID.
for make easy above please insert a Solaris 5.1 CD software and type: boot - cd from (ok)
mount the solaris kernel and see the ethernet log file for extract the mac address you will use this for restore you system.
