Hi Mike, it looks like bad brake inside of elevation motor. I experienced the same problem. We had ordered this "brake kit" from Hilllabs. I will try to find the part number if you need it.

Yes, I would appreciate that. Continental wants to sell the whole linear actuator with motor. I encountered this same condition with a Summitt.
