Hi everyone. I have trouble in the cradle movement. The led DS310 "CSTALL" lights on in the ETC board, and there is the following error message: Host: ETC; Proc: Cradle; Error: 182217; HW Error: Current limit fault detected by hardware (stall).
Could anyone help me?
First off make sure that you can ping the etc in a unix shell. If that works then make sure that all of your connectors on the ETC are tight. I would recommend reseated everything since a lot of dust collects on there. If you continue to have trouble after that, you might have a bad ETC (46-264368G3) or a bad cradle amp board (46-264370G1).
Stall and overcurrent happens often in a stuck mechanism.
Check for smooth movement of cradle; clean and grease the rollers to make shure is running with no effort.
Additionally, try to check with no load on cradle, and check stepper motor with oscope.
One if you have any loose connections due to any recent service activity on system. Check and reseat J3 and J5 on ETC BOARD.
Second if Cradle movement was intermittiently jerky or have erratic cradle movement
and would sometimes stall then replace cradle amp board (46-264370G1).
Still if this does not work then you can reach me at deepak@ritpl.com with more error messages and I will try to help you in fixing this problem.

Hello John,
This error can have 2 reasons.
