I did this once. It sound like you loaded the software wrong. That command on the first page tells you what to type if you have two monitors.

if problem came all of sudden than their is chance someone accidentally press shortcut key for single head selection still u can see horizontal scroll bar to see another monitor on same monitor if problem is same you can try hot keys (along with shift or control) im will also try to find exact key for the same

The unix command hinv will show the hp hardware that was detected the last time it was booted. Check to see if a dual channel display was detected
