I have a DEC 3000 600 pc in a MRI and when I turn on the computer the screen is complitly black and the error led on back of cpu indicates 3F hex code, I check de SIMM memories changing position and clear some this and problem persist. I suspect that the problem is de real time clock (DS1287), it is posible. Thank you.
It happen but usually I changed all computer when I worked in Philips,let check the battery or some scsi pin connectors damaged or not making a good connection.
On witch country do you work ?
The battery should be on the mother board of Dec computer.
But let check the micro scsi cables on the back of the consolle,sometimes a small pin can brake or damage and you get a lot problems.

Hi Jose I can say go to the back of the pc, and take out all cables,looks inside for damage or lost pins,and then look to the connections on the PC the same things damage or lost pins.
