Error Message reads "Image Control not OK, call service" I'm not able to find a reference to this message. Last few films showed varying densities of images plus horizontal black lines. Any help would be appreciated.
most likely you need to verify the image path ensuring that the thermal head and drum contact is okay, if that is okay I would recommend recalibrating the TH and the MDM
Thanks for responding. I've since learned that the drive belt, for the encoder, is worn out. I'm starting with replacing the belt. Hopefully I don't need the entire drum / encoder assembly!
I hope not either. normally if that belt slips you image has what looks like bands of darker contrast and when it passes through the MDM it will fail and cause image error messages, the actual message name changes with different software versions.
