Hi everybody, I have a problem on a small operative flat screen during booting the Ct.
sometimes the screen it remain black and no other functions are available. After switch on and off several times it works againg and operator can input data. As the trouble it is deterioration more and more anybody can suggest what I can check and what is the problem ? where is the crt driver located as it seems goes into the cpu bopard. I already check the flat itself and it works properly alone.

This alphanumerical montor is connected to Hercules video card in the rack computer throught the connection panel at rear side of the rack. Problem can be with the monitor itself, somewhere on the signal path or maybe the PS (in console). I am not sure if you can connect the CRT hercules monitor (if you find it.... it is pretty old) and see if the problem is with display. If no functions are available - it can be problem with main board or processor board.
I found in documentation that it is possible that the BIOS is going to reset whet battery is dead. Battery chip is Dallas RTC and can be out of power because of age (Twins are teenagers). In this case is is necessary to fix the battery problem (replace the chip) and setup the BIOS again. Solution can be different for different machines: (486DX2-66MHz, Pentium 90 and Pentium MMX-200). They use different PCs and has different BIOS configurations. For temporary solution maybe is it enough to set-up the BIOS settings as described in specifications. (There are too many informations to put them here - please contact on email).
