First of all, I wish you a wonderful, happy, healthy and prosperous 2015!
I have been facing err0001 console communication error message on polydoros. All leds are lit on D500 board in the error situation. All supply voltages are OK. All cables are Ok. The seven segment displays are off.
The system works intermittently when you catch err030 message and click one of console button on a startup though it happens very rare. But after every start up err0001 appears again. I luckly have a working system somewhere else I tried both D500 and console on the working system. Console was OK. The cause of the error is D500. Unfortunately I had no chance to check d300.
What would be the cause of this problem? I decided to try chip level repair. If you have, Could you please share schematic diagram of D500? Thank you!
you stated the displays are off that is odd and you stated the power supplies are okay (did you check the supplies for AC noise?) do not trust the LED's to tell you if the the power supplies are good they will come on even if the supplies are low
Err001: Console Error 3
Description:
• Console could not establish a connection to the generator
Possible causes of error:
• Console defective.
• Cables W515, W500, W509, W510 defective or have contact problems.
• Power supply defective.
• D501 defective.
Corrective measures:
• 7-segment display: not equal to 88 -> check power supply voltages to D501/LEDs
• Check power supply/LED; if needed, replace.
• 7-segment display: b1 -> check W500, W509, W510; if needed, replace.
• Check cable W515; if needed, replace.
• Replace the D501 and:
- Tighten the ground wire connection to 4.5Nm
Err030: Console HW 3
Description:
• An error occurred in the console hardware
Possible causes of the error:
• 24 V power supply malfunction
• D501, X7 and X 8 connections switched around
• Console defective
• Cable W515 defective or contact problems
• D501 defective
Corrective measures:
• Check the 24 V power supply
• D501, correctly plug in the X7 and X 8 connections
• Replace console
• Check cable W515; if needed, replace
• Replace the D501 and:
- Tighten the ground wire connection to 4.5Nm
Try one more simple thing. Replace power supply and wait for the result. There could be intermittent spikes or voltage instability which the LED's are not indicating. Good luck for 2015!
