I late received this message.
If it is no sensor s8, no wirings, no PMC-board, then perhaps the belt is insufficiently tense and slips?
Look for in Service manuals DIS110.01E the section "2.4.3 Flat belt tension in machines..."
Error Code --> 6c841
E_T14_S8_MALFUNCTION,
Meaning : During a drum-calibration only a single
encoder-readout has been obtained. This is
not correct. A malfunction caused this
error-condition.
Reason : Possible malfunction or disconnection of
the drum-(slit-)sensor . As a result, since
no sensor-transitions are spotted, only a single encoder read-out has been spotted.
Cure : a. Check sensor s8.
b. Replace the sensor.
c. Check the wirings.
d. Check the PMC-board functioning and release
stamps.
