I have a SGI O2 Masterboard; How to upgrade the Flash prom version 4.13 to 4.17? And also how much pay for that?

Please cotact to me; Thanks
I am afraid you need to contact to Silicone Graphic. It is quite old machine. O2 works in MxView station, SeleCT and MX8000 (and Philips' and Siemens's clones) as it is. Only the OS is important. SeleCT uses IRIX 6.3. MxView can use 6.3 or 6.5.x - depends on SW wersion. Also MX8000 works with 6.5.x. If someone has more experience please update.
I have been working with many O2 but I have never changed the flash..
Hi Daqiu!
Quite simple and You don't even have to pay! Take a look at http://www.nekochan.net/wiki/SGI_O2 , section "Memory Subsystem" (the last line) and "PROM version dictates what processor version works in what board". Also take a look at http://techpubs.sgi.com/library/tpl/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi/hdwr/bks/SGI_EndUser/books/O2HDMem_II/sgi_html/pr01.html#id23769
Maybe You don't want to upgrade/replace memory, but as You had to upgrade PROM verison to do so, in the past, then this should prove useful for You.
Good luck!
