GE 800T error code E13

I need some help. 2002 DOM GE 800T, the original console intermittently tries to reset. When replacing the same part number console (DOM 2001)it boots to an error code E13. Is there a compatibility issue with the difference of the DOM's or does this error code point to something else?

I was wrong on the error, it is E12, cksum error. DOM 2002. The service manual says to change the setting of switch 8 of B1 on the CPU board, then power up and the double error key to get into the install menu to get to the cksum reset menu. Switch 8? is that in the console CPU or is that a board within the generator cabinet?
