we have a ct scan a GE NXI when we scan an image we are having a problem. the image in the inner part is dARK IN COLOR AND at the outer part is light in color...i think it is not an artifact but if you will judge the whole image it is not uniform in color...how can we correct this becaUse we are having a conformance test and we might fail in the uniform test.. thanks for the help
I suggest please tell your service engr. to read the theory section of the service manual so that they will have an overview how each subsystems works. Likewise, do not spoon feed your service engr the specific things they should do from the suggestions you got from here. Give them a general overview and let them do the analysis and the specific things that should be done. That way your engr will learn a lot. The best way for the service engr to learn their machine is during installation and commissioning while the machine is not being endorsed. It will give your engr enough time to have hands on practice with less pressure from the buyer.
Always ask for them a detailed service report with detailed analysis what makes the systems failed.
Ask them questions how they come up with a solutions and what really went wrong everytime they solve a problem. if they can give you a well profound technical explanations then they learned and they will become one of the best troubleshooter in your area.
i dont have any image but if you check the image which is in circle shape the inner part of it is dark in color as it goes to the outer side it will become light
If you are not an Engineer, my recommendation is for you to find one to work in your problem, and don’t risk failing the conformance test. The same way that you rely upon a radiologist for the diagnostic of your patients, you should use an engineer for the diagnostic of your CT.
Is it anatomical image, or you have only dark and light grey? If you have only grey try an retrorecon on some old rawdata if the images are ok the problem is on DAS, most probably the power supply be aware there are 4-5 power supply, check voltages and adjust it / replace if necessary.

Have you perform calibration? if yes, Perform a warm up error analysis, and check the channels that are outside tolerance.
