ge ct scan helical problem

we are encountering a problem with our ge ct scan ct/i. During Helical scan it will scan then it will stop scanner hardware. when you resume it will continue the scanning but it will stop scanner hardware again. the process is the same until it finish the whole scan. The error we are getting is:
ERROR: 253804
FEP DSP1:Hardware Communication Failure
FIFO ERROR: DAS FIFO Overrun Error
HDW Status: (0x400009e) (Data Type: 0x2)

The FEP Hardware/software could not keep up with the SCOM Data
ERROR: 253914
FEP DSP1: Time out waiting for full dma list to complete.

Can somebody help me figure out this problem..thanks in advance

Have you tried replacing the SCOM board? You can try cleaning up the slip rings too. Is the system giving any " Not able to write raw data" error?

I THINK THE DATA IS NOT REACHING FROM GANTRY TO OC. DURING HELICAL SCAN THERE IS CONTINUOUS DATA FLOW, MAY BE YOU ARE NOT FACING PROBLEM IN AXIAL AND STATIONARY SCAN. PROBABLE CAUSE IS DIRTY SLIP RING WHERE SIGNAL BRUSHES ARE MAKING CONTACTS. CLEAN THEM WITH HELP OF SAND PAPER.

i already clean the slip ring but still stops during helical scan. do you have any idea where is the problem coming
