Our GE CTi scanner has an error during phantom calibration. " Operator Stopped Scan" appeared on the screen during the first 3 exposure of water(small phantom) calibration
Then "Resume to continue" but the system cannot continue.Medium phantom calibration finished without error.
At the error log it says" Gantry hardware error it could be the Brake/Balance"
This happen after we change the GE x-ray tube to a Dunlee replacement tube.
After tube replacement you have to balance the gantry. Use spring balance to measure the rotation force when the tube is 9 and 3 o'clock position, add or remove weight on detector side accordingly.
Yes i did POR and we already made a scan but there is a light band artifacts in the image. So i decided to calibrate but an error occured. I will give you an update

Qcal is also suggested after tube replacement. Did you notice errors before unrelated to tube replacement? Error log... If tube alignment is OK check beam profile filter (teflon) in collimator for integrity. The error message you described though suggests axial speed disturbances. Let me know.

Scan images has no errors. Image is free from artifacts. Recon images produce shadowy images. Previous scan image when being recon when the current set up is sharp and free from artifacts

What could be the cause of the problem?
Thank you

chek all cables insite gantry ( you say this happen after chane tube ) do you centred x ray tube ?? , in menu service, diagnostic can you run x ray ??

Before tube replacement there was no error related to tube replacement

Try to skip the problematic phantom calibration and make scans on the successful protocol values, see if there are artifacts and erors there.
