hello friends . I take out the front cover of a detector of ge hi speed dual silce . my queston is if that afect the condition of the detector even I putting it back ?
if you talk about metalic cover of electronics, this part do two things: mechanical support to PCBs avoiding vibrations and miscontact; preserve the temperature steady for correct operation point about air cal.
and finally, the whole rotating mechanism is weight balanced....if you run without cover at high RPMs, unbalance will be problem.
The bottom face of the Detector (Flexible Cable Connectors) is very sensitive, so handle it with extreme care.
If you are replacing any detector, follow the steps in the manual, ensure that the fan beam from the tube is aligned with the detectors (X-ray alignment procedure). To ensure image quality, perform Hilight calibration and air & phantom cals.
