hello guys...
we are having a conformance test for our ct scan ge hispeed ct/i.we are having a problem with the air parameter. we are getting a -967 value during testing which should be -970 to -1000. i check the ct number o f our machine and the values are: at 80kv small=7 and large=-119; at 100kv small=6 and large = -101; at 120kv samll=5 and large= -90; at 140 kv small=5 and large= -81.. can you give ct numbers values with a air parameter is correct so that i can compare once i adjust the ct number...thanks for all the answers..
I've never heard of a conformance test that checks the value(s) of air. Most conformance testing validates the CT # of water. The general service manual is very good at showing you what techniques to scan at and how to adjust the ct #'s.

Did you check the dose of your x-ray tube? If not, do CTDI; if CTDI is ok run detailed calibrations including Q-Cal, Cross-Talk, Alpha vector

Sorry, after all the above, you need to do CT number calibration but of course if your problem is not solved making first the CT no calibration
