I have a GE lightspeed 16 with an MDAS that is givivg me an error "logic 5 Volt power supply out of range". Should be 4700 mv to 5250 mv but reading 7980mv. But when you measure the test points on the DAS back plane it's in range 5010mv. No AC ripple on supply. Replaced the DCB but still have same issue. Any ideas of the cause?
I had this problem before but I think it was an analog 5vdc supply error. this is from the GE mdas16 trouble shooting book.
They are very small surface mount resistors/fuses.
DCB aux channel reads 7V on aux channels for
the 5V supply,Zero ohm resistors on Center
backplane blown. (R2,R3,R4). Possible root cause=Power supply shorted to chas-
sis or a power cable short.
Power transistors or rectifiers
are missing an insulating pad. Solution=Ohm out the transistor case to
ground. It should not connect.
Ohm out power cables for
shorts to grounds or chassis.
Replace chassis, cables or
power supply as required.

Hello, sir! You need to adjust the voltage manually by adjusting the potentiometer. The instructions are in the service manuals.

Thanks, it turned out to be the left backplane causing this issue
