Hello:
I have a problem with a GE LightSpeed Ultra recently installed. When starting the system the computer stays at "OC Initializing. Please wait" and it stays there. After a few minutes the computer shuts down by itself. Apparently it loads the Applications, menus and everything seems to be there. After performing a Reconfiguration without regenerating the Data Base I can even see images, but same case, after a few minutes the computer shuts down. I have ran the Octane Diagnostics with the IRIX CD and all tests passed, hinv identifies disks and I ran also the ICE tests, first time ICE tests were run they all passed, second time the data marked an Error. So far I have tried to avoid software reload or Reconfiguration regenerating the Data Base. Any sugestions or tips will be appreciated. Thanks
Best regards,
Elias
Maybe you have bad sector on HDD. So you need to connect this HDD to another computer and test by special program. I usually use HDD regenerator- this program can repaired bad sectors.
I think this can help

Yes, Hardware initialization is completed, I can even move the table, rotate Gantry for centering lights, tilt. No scans can be performed as I don't have access to anything having to do with scanning in the computer. thanks,
Best Regards,
Elias

Thank you, I made LFC twice, it seems to be fixed, but I'm having an artifact problem with this system, may I email you about it? Mine is johnnyb@tigo.com.py
I have the same case but I have not communication with the gantry. No ping with STC or ETC. I required a new Scan Disk (the original one is damaged) and a new transceiver because I do have not a valid way to test it trusty. No laser, no cough move, no changes in gantry leds during initialization

Have you tried open DARC with telnet?
I had the same problem, with the same symptoms as you when I was a failure of DARC!

I replaced IG Board. Perform IG Diagnostics to know if it is good or faulty.
