I HAVE A GE LOGIQ e WITH ERROR 0271 AT START UP. NOW IT IS DISPLAYING: " \SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL PLEASE RE-INSTALL A COPY OF THE ABOVE FILE". ANY HELP?

Joe - Sounds like the base OS is Win XP. Do you have the OS or GE CD? If you do, you may be able to boot from that CD and run the recovery console and restore the HAL.DLL file.
