GE Logiqbook error on startup

I am getting the same windows 2000 error every time I start up my Logiqbook model#2349933.
"the following file is missing or corrupt \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"
Yes tis U/S is ancient, but it still works well and suits my purposes. I can't find the system disc anywhere, so wondering if that's what I need, and if anyone has one?
