A client of mine has a bad floppy drive with their techniques on it....G.E. says they need a $15,000 console. Has anyone taken the console apart to get the floppy drive manufacture info, ordered it and installed it? This customer is far away in the boondocks and I was curious if anyone had the info already to save them an extra trip/money. Thanks!
I have never worked on the proteus, but ran into similar minor hardware issues on tons of other equipment. I cannot imagine not being able to swap out a simple drive. Have them send you a picture of the computer and look up the manufacture specs and order.
